Day 29-34: Getting lost in Christmas

Just a quick one to let you know that despite the festive season and Little Miss almost completely giving up on sleep, the #rwwinterrunstreak continues. Despite storm Barbara, Santa and overwhelming exhaustion, I have put in my mile a day. I just haven’t had time to write anything or think either. In fact I’m writing this in bed at 8.30pm shortly after the monkeys went to bed. This is to maximise any sleep time. I am just so rock and roll.

Still needs must. One thing I have learned in my years as a parent is not to frustrate yourself seeking the answers. With sleep deprivation there is little point asking “why” every night as the answer will never come. All you can do is endure and persevere, find ways to cope and survive. So that is what I am doing. One mile on heavy legs and early early nights. Just need to stop eating Christmas chocolate in 5 minute intervals and then I will be hunky dory.

Well I hope you all had a good Christmas. Despite it all, I did. After all they aren’t a bad bunch of monkeys. They were lovely, crazy company and I wouldn’t have them any other way.
